  • The Procedure

Your Sculptra appointment begins with an in-depth consultation where your provider will assess your skin concerns and discuss your aesthetic goals. During the procedure, the Sculptra is injected into targeted areas of the face using fine needles or cannulas. The process is minimally invasive and typically takes 60 minutes. For your comfort, numbing agents may be applied to the treatment areas. Patients can resume most daily activities immediately following the procedure, although some mild swelling or redness may occur.

  • The Results

Sculptra offers a gradual and natural enhancement by boosting your body’s own collagen production. This treatment is ideal for addressing volume loss, softening facial lines, and improving skin texture and elasticity. Results develop over several weeks and can last up to two years, providing long-term rejuvenation with minimal maintenance. Sculptra is also versatile, suitable for various areas of the face, and customizable to your unique needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Sculptra made of?

Sculptra is made of poly-L-lactic acid, a biocompatible and biodegradable compound that works to stimulate collagen production in the skin.

How long does it take to see results?

Unlike traditional fillers, Sculptra results develop gradually as your body produces collagen. Most patients notice improvements within a few weeks, with optimal results typically seen after the recommended series of treatments.

How long do the results last?

Sculptra results can last up to two years, making it a long-term solution for facial rejuvenation.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of sessions varies depending on individual needs and treatment goals. Most patients require 2–3 sessions spaced about 4–6 weeks apart for optimal results. It is recommended that patients begin with one vial per decade of age, and then additional vials as needed to upkeep their desired results.

Is there any downtime?

Sculptra is minimally invasive with little to no downtime. Patients may experience mild redness, swelling, or bruising, which typically subsides within a few days.

Aftercare

After your Sculptra treatment, gently massage the treated areas for 5 minutes, 5 times per day, for 5 days to promote even distribution of the product. Avoid strenuous activities, excessive heat, and direct sun exposure for 24–48 hours. Stay hydrated and follow any additional instructions provided by your provider. Mild swelling, redness, or bruising may occur but should resolve within a few days. If you have any concerns, contact us immediately.

Reminders

To ensure the best possible experience, avoid alcohol, blood-thinning medications, and supplements like aspirin or fish oil for at least 24 hours before your appointment. Share any allergies or medical concerns with your provider during your consultation to ensure a safe and effective treatment.
