Suture Removal

Suture removal is the process of carefully removing stitches or sutures that were used to close a wound or incision after surgery or injury. This procedure is performed once the wound has sufficiently healed, which helps prevent infection and promotes proper healing. During the removal, our nurse practitioner will use sterile tools to cut the sutures and gently pull them out, ensuring minimal discomfort. The procedure is quick, generally painless, and helps ensure the wound is healing as expected. In some cases, patients may need to return for follow-up appointments to monitor the healing process.
